First Day of Spring!

As much as I love winter, I am definitely happy that Spring has finally arrived. (Nothing better than free Rita's Water Ice, right?) With the weather being in the near 60's the past few days I found myself sneaking a peak at potential summer wardrobe additions that I am looking at purchasing... I went to Forever 21 and Old Navy's websites and already found so many cute (inexpensive!) summer dresses that I already want to go out and buy A.S.A.P.!
Women's Cross-Front Sundresses (Old Navy), $15 -How cute is this dress for only $15? It comes in blue, brown, pink, floral brown and a floral mint green & light pink color!Women's Chiffon Flutter-Sleeve Dresses (Old Navy), $29.50- This dress is a little more expensive but still SO cute for a summer BBQ. It also comes in purple floral, solid pink, and solid navy. I will definitely have to get one of these too!
Women's Gauze Keyhole Dresses (Old Navy) $24.50- Again, I think I'll need to get one of these dresses! I could even see wearing this one to the beach as a cover-up! This one also comes in blue, black and white.
Women's Tie-Front Linen-Blend Dresses (Old Navy), $24.50-This Dress is my favorite. It also comes in a Juniper color.
Applique Jersey Dress (Forever 21), $24.80- I love dresses made out of jersey material, especially in the Summer when it gets really hot out. Great dress for the boardwalk and going out to dinner down the shore!
Colorblock Knit Minidress (Forever 21), $22.80- This dress is definitely fun and flirty. I love pink and black together.
Trudy Tye-Dye Knit Dress (Forever 21), $22.80-This is another great BBQ dress! I can't wait to add this one to my Summer wardrobe.

2009 Philadelphia Flower Show

This past Friday after my classes were finally put on hold for Spring Break (and it's actually feeling like Spring out...!) I hopped on the R5 to Market East to meet my parents at Reading Terminal Market and then go to the 2009 Philadelphia Flower Show! At Reading Terminal Market I had the most delicious crepe EVER from Profi's Creperie. It was banana, strawberries and Nutella sprinkled with powdered sugar on top. The picture does not even give it justice!!

Then it was time to go to the flower show, which had a theme of Italy this year. Overall it was absolutely beautiful. The show was divided into different areas (i.e. Venice, Rome, Sicily, etc.) In Venice they even had a big water display with a gondola set up.

And now.. You didn't think I'd post this without pictures, did you?

(My mom and I)
(Every part of this dress was made out of flowers!)

( These dresses and flower arrangements were all modeled after famous paintings...)

Going to the flower show definitely made me just that much more anxious for Spring and Summer to get here!

A little update in a busy week!

Sorry for my absence this week.... Spring Break begins next week for Temple and for some reason my teachers felt the need to dump everything on me right before! (Yup, 2 7-page papers, 2 midterms, and create a newsletter and brochure... PHEW! What a mouthful....) So as you can see it was a little hard for me to get over here and blog!

I am however VERY excited because I just made my first Phillies tickets purchase for the season today!
I am definitely really excited to be going, it's my favorite thing to do in the summer!!
Nothing like baseball, hot dogs and beer! Yum-o!

A bigger update is soon following.... I promise! I'm almost free, yay! (err... for a week at least!)

What are your favorite things to do in the summer? What's your favorite baseball team?
