Heat Wave...

This was the temperature when I got in the car after getting off the train the other day.... WOW. That's about all I can say! Quite honestly these unexpected 90 degree temperature in the month of APRIL caught me off gaurd... The ridiculous weather combined with the A/C not being turned on in my house yet inspired me to go buy new pajamas since I only really had winter ones. I decided to go to Target because I've always seen cute pajamas there.

These yellow and teal plaid shorts and teal shirt are what I ended up getting. Let me just say, they were the best $14 I have ever spent. They are so light weight (which is crucial to me because I always sweat so much in my sleep for some reason) and comfortable to sleep in. The boxer shorts have 6 or 7 styles and same with the shirts. You don't have to buy them together which is great because you can mix and match!

Busy, Busy Weekend!

This past weekend was a very busy one. Saturday, I bit the bullet and finally purchased my first (real) Coach bag. After a (windy) morning at Rice's with my good friends Heather and Gina, we decided to stop at the Coach outlet on the way home. I really had no intention of buying anything.... but then I saw a bag that I absolutely fell in love with. This bag was originally priced at over $200 dollars (I forget the original price). Then it had a percentage off and THEN was an additional 50% off so I managed to get it for $90 (I'm very proud of myself.) I love it and am very glad I finally have a bag that will lost me a long time.

This weekend was also Wrestlemania in which I made a cake to celebrate the occasion...

And LAST but definitely not least... Yesterday (April 5th) was Zach and my 3 year anniversary. This is Zach and my first picture about 3 1/2 years ago...
Dorky, I know...

We spent our weekend together celebrating birthday's with friends, going out for a delicious cheese steak dinner (we're broke college students...) And really just trying to spend as much possible time together as we could!

(At PJ Whelihan's in Blue Bell...)

He even surprised me with beautiful pink roses!

And finally, Zach got me this beautiful blue topaz ring. I love it so much and it even matches the earrings and necklace my parents got me for my 21st birthday in December!

Up next, first Phillies game of the season tomorrow night!

A Cute Rainy Day

As much as the rain always tends to bring people down, I am still always a sucker for a cozy rainy day. I always love seeing really cute umbrellas! (all of the following were found at www.umbrellas.net)

confetti umbrella $39- I love the style of this one, it's really fun! It comes in cream or white as well as black.

lots of dots umbrella $39 - Like most of the others, there are 2 other color styles to pick from. Gray and OR black and red.

the dot umbrella $39- I love love love this one! It also comes in 2 other styles... brown, salmon and bright green; teal, orange and tan.
bright blue umbrella $39 - And last but not least, my favorite! This is the only color this umbrella comes in. It just reminds me of spring!

Maybe I'll look for some new rain boots soon too?!

First Day of Spring!

As much as I love winter, I am definitely happy that Spring has finally arrived. (Nothing better than free Rita's Water Ice, right?) With the weather being in the near 60's the past few days I found myself sneaking a peak at potential summer wardrobe additions that I am looking at purchasing... I went to Forever 21 and Old Navy's websites and already found so many cute (inexpensive!) summer dresses that I already want to go out and buy A.S.A.P.!
Women's Cross-Front Sundresses (Old Navy), $15 -How cute is this dress for only $15? It comes in blue, brown, pink, floral brown and a floral mint green & light pink color!Women's Chiffon Flutter-Sleeve Dresses (Old Navy), $29.50- This dress is a little more expensive but still SO cute for a summer BBQ. It also comes in purple floral, solid pink, and solid navy. I will definitely have to get one of these too!
Women's Gauze Keyhole Dresses (Old Navy) $24.50- Again, I think I'll need to get one of these dresses! I could even see wearing this one to the beach as a cover-up! This one also comes in blue, black and white.
Women's Tie-Front Linen-Blend Dresses (Old Navy), $24.50-This Dress is my favorite. It also comes in a Juniper color.
Applique Jersey Dress (Forever 21), $24.80- I love dresses made out of jersey material, especially in the Summer when it gets really hot out. Great dress for the boardwalk and going out to dinner down the shore!
Colorblock Knit Minidress (Forever 21), $22.80- This dress is definitely fun and flirty. I love pink and black together.
Trudy Tye-Dye Knit Dress (Forever 21), $22.80-This is another great BBQ dress! I can't wait to add this one to my Summer wardrobe.

2009 Philadelphia Flower Show

This past Friday after my classes were finally put on hold for Spring Break (and it's actually feeling like Spring out...!) I hopped on the R5 to Market East to meet my parents at Reading Terminal Market and then go to the 2009 Philadelphia Flower Show! At Reading Terminal Market I had the most delicious crepe EVER from Profi's Creperie. It was banana, strawberries and Nutella sprinkled with powdered sugar on top. The picture does not even give it justice!!

Then it was time to go to the flower show, which had a theme of Italy this year. Overall it was absolutely beautiful. The show was divided into different areas (i.e. Venice, Rome, Sicily, etc.) In Venice they even had a big water display with a gondola set up.

And now.. You didn't think I'd post this without pictures, did you?

(My mom and I)
(Every part of this dress was made out of flowers!)
(My dad and I)

(the gondola)

( These dresses and flower arrangements were all modeled after famous paintings...)

Going to the flower show definitely made me just that much more anxious for Spring and Summer to get here!

A little update in a busy week!

Sorry for my absence this week.... Spring Break begins next week for Temple and for some reason my teachers felt the need to dump everything on me right before! (Yup, 2 7-page papers, 2 midterms, and create a newsletter and brochure... PHEW! What a mouthful....) So as you can see it was a little hard for me to get over here and blog!

I am however VERY excited because I just made my first Phillies tickets purchase for the season today!
I am definitely really excited to be going, it's my favorite thing to do in the summer!!
Nothing like baseball, hot dogs and beer! Yum-o!

A bigger update is soon following.... I promise! I'm almost free, yay! (err... for a week at least!)

What are your favorite things to do in the summer? What's your favorite baseball team?

Ugg-session...

About 2 years I came upon my worst addiction that I swore I would never take part in: Uggs. Now on this Saturday night (while I'm supposed to be preparing for torture week at school....) Now, I happen to be watching one of my favorite movies Because I Said So, and I have somehow managed to fail to notice the variety of colors that all 4 (Diane Keaton, Mandy Moore, Lauren Graham, and Piper Perabo) of the main character women wear. It then encouraged me to go over to www.Uggs.com and take a look at what was new on the site.

Upon searching around, I found the Cardy style Uggs that I fell in love with over the winter... but now, they're even better! For the Spring they now have 4 new deliciously cool, cute colors! Now, aside from coming in Black, White, and Gray... They also come in (drumroll please! ... ... ... ...)
(Sorbet)

(Mulberry)

(Jacaranda)

And last but not least, and my personal favorite!

(Pool)

As you can see, aside from being in deliciously cute colors, they can be worn about a million different ways, making them even better! These boots run for $140...

Enjoy!

Cheese!

I am one of those people who CONSTANTLY has their camera with them. I have several 1,000's of photos on my computer that I have taken in only the past four years. I am also quite often found looking at other peoples pictures on a regular basis. I also love seeing couples cute, professional pictures together, which my boyfriend, Zach, has often called cheesey and pointless (gasp!). Therefor, I had given up all hope that we would ever get those cute photographs together.

However, I was taken by complete surprise this year when Christmas came around and Zach told me I wouldn't be getting my present for a little bit because he was taking me somewhere as my present... I had NO clue where we would be going (which I'll admit drove me a little nuts.... surprises aren't my most favorite thing in the world.) Then, one snowy Saturday, Zach told me to 'wear black and make sure I like how my hair looked.' I'll be honest, one of the things that popped into my head was that we were going to get pictures taken... but knowing his past remarks in regards to couple pictures before, I didn't get my hopes up too high.

That day, we met up and sure enough Zach took me to JCPenny's and we got our pictures taken together!

(This picture was my favorite of the day!)

After our photo shoot he even took me to one of the most delicious and authentic Italian restaurants (Fasagios in Perkasie, PA) that I have ever been to!

Overall, it was just such a thoughtful day that he put together for me. I appreciated greatly that he went completely out of his comfort zone in order to do something that he knew would make me really happy!

What has your significant other gone out of their way to do in order to make you happy, even if it's not something they would really want?
